                                       Annual Report for the year 2014 -15.

Managing Committee of MLDC Alumni Association is pleased to present Annual Report for the year 2014 – 15.

During the year under report, the Alumni Association successfully organized various programs as listed below.

1. This year we introduced “Elocution Competition” in English for Mumbai University Students. The competition was held on 31/01/2015 in Colllege Auditorium.Panel of Judges include Dr. Mrs. Vijaya Subramanian, expert external & Shri Rajesh Ajgaonkar, internal – Joint secretary of our Association. Principal Dr. Pethe inaugurated the competition. Though, this was the first year of competition, it received good response from various Colleges in & around Mumbai.
2. One more competition we introduced this year & that was “ Natya Abhivachan Spardha”. This type of competition was first time organized at Inter Collegiate level.The efforts of Alumni were appreciated by one & all. Competition was held on 10/01/2015 at Sathye College Auditorium. Dr.Madhavi Pethe & Dr. Kavita Rege, Principal of Dahanukar & Sathye College, respectively attended & blessed the new venture. The competition was judged by Shri Deepak Karanjikar (Secretary, Akhil Bhartiya Marathi Natyaparishad), Ms Suhas Paranjpe (famous Cine, Channel & Theater artist) & Shri Ratnakar Tardalkar (Doordarshan News reader & professional compeer)
3. We sponsored the performance of two one act plays staged by “Theater Magic” a drama group of Dahanukar College. The program was held on 02/01/2015 at Master Dinanath Mangeshkar Natyagruha, Vileparle. Our effort of giving chance/ platform to College students was responded well by theater lovers.
4. This year our Annual get together was held on Saturday 01/03/2015 from 10.00 a m onwards in Keshrao Ghaisas Auditorium, ground floor, Dahanukar College. The program was compeered by Shri Rajesh Ajgaonkar & Smt. Charulata Joshi. Current students & few of our Managing committee members made the event enjoyable. It is our practice to felicitate Ex MLDC students who have performed excellently in their respective career after College life. The committee accordingly felicitated following four ex students on the Annual get together held on 01/03/2015.

6. As a part of our commitment in assisting college students in conducting various activities, like in past this year Alumni Association gave sponsorship of Rs.50,000/- in organizing “KURUKSHETRA”, an Inter Collegiate festival organized by the M L Dahanukar College. Earlier we had organized “Elocution “competition in memory of late Prof. V R Jog. During the year under report it was decided by College & our Alumni Association that this competition will be a part of “KURUKSHETRA”. The Managing committee will sponsor the event up to Rs. 25,000/- and has assured college Management to sponsor the competition for next five years. This year College students published a magazine” Sunshine” & Alumni Association gave a sponsorship of Rs. 8,000/- for the same.

1. As in past this year also we are felicitating eight students of College for their performance in Academic as well as extra curricular activities. Following students were felicitated on 01/03/2015.

During the year under report Shri Hemant Vidwans (Founder Committee Member) & Shri Amit Vidwans, resigned from Managing Committee. Shri Hemant was most active member in bringing new members to our Alumni. Shri Amit was one of the main brains in creation of oue Website. The Committee appreciated their contribution in strengthening M L D C Alumni Association.Mrs.Juilee Shende & Shri Shirish Athavale, were adopted to fill up the vacant posts on Managing Committee.

During the year under report, total 14 meetings of the Managing Committee were held which were attended well by the Managing Committee Members.

We thank our Auditors, Bankers, Sponsors, Well wishers as well as College staff members, students of our college and also the Management of Parle Tilak Vidyalaya Association for their continued support to the activities of the Association. We also thank the staff members of        M/s V. S. Jog & Company (especially Chitra Ajvilkar), M/s P. G. Oak and Company, M/s Chaitanya Financial Consultancy Pvt. Ltd. M/s Saraf Gurkar & Associates (especially C A Kanchan Bajaj), Office of Mr. P Subramanian, (especially Ms Triveni Mhatre) for helping us throughout the year to run the activities successfully.
